Track Name: Black Cats
I wanted a black cat
That could protect me
From all of the monsters
That were hiding

And I wanted a white cat
So I could feel serene
Inside of a house
As chaotic as me

And I
Wished I could be a fish
And swim around
In a bowl

Then I’d
Only live for a day
And remember nothing
As I lied in my grave

I wished I could go deaf
But instead I’m blinded
From all of the throw up
That splashed in my eye

And now I have glasses
As thick as the skin
You forced me to grow
When I was a kid

And I
Wish I could go in the mosh pit
And let out all the anger
You left me with

But I’m
Scared of breaking all my bones
Cuz now we can’t afford
Health insurance

As I laid in bed
I dreamt of your sweaters
Turning into monsters
Living in my head

The gruesome kind
That drink ten bottles of wine
Smoking camel blues
Under the dying porch light

And as
I laid down in the grass
I hoped
The blades would be sharp against my back

So I’d have
An excuse
For the scratches
I left on my neck

And I was only a kid
When the nightmares started ruling my skin
And I grew afraid
That reality was more deadly to me
